KROQ Weenie Roast Performance
Hello readers,
WOW!!! The Strokes at KROQ Weenie Roast last night was AMAZING!!!! While the rest of my country was celebrating our win in game 2 of the Stanley Cup final round, I was in tears for a different reason. It was short, as they weren't a headliner, but so sweet. The Band seemed to be in a really good mood, especially Jules who was quite chatty. I wish I was there SO badly! Julian's mic was dying so he switched it, and then he threw the dead one to a fan into the crowd! SO jealous of the lucky bum who got a souvenir. Also, he literally bent down into the crowd to talk to a fan!! Someone's dreams came true last night. I'm still shocked the band can wear leather jackets and blazers in June in California, although Fab strip down to his T-Shirt about halfway through. It seems Albert is trying drift away from the suspenders, maybe he decided he was wearing them too often or something. Nikolai and Julian don't seem to be having that problem, Niko is sticking with his signature vest as is Julian with his leather jacket. Also, were those leather pants on Albert?

Saturday fun
Hello readers,
Today, the Strokes play KROQ weenie roast. There is a live streaming of a performance and the band will be on at 7:30. Can't wait! It looks like it's a big thing, which the Strokes seem to play best at. I think we can expect the crowd it to be a lot bigger and better than at Sweetlife, that was just sad. I found these videos of the Strokes at Rage with Nick, Fab and Jules on youtube in 11 parts, so I downloaded them, merged them and edited out the advertisment bits. Enjoy as it was a bitch to do :)

I have tons of news today! About the Strokes obviously.
First off, here's a Behind the Scenes video of the Postelles creating their album. If you pay close enough attention, you may be able to find a certain favorite guitarist (it's Albert readers.)

Great News Everyone!!! The Strokes are most definitely making a new video!! My guess is Taken for a Fool as they realeased that as a single. I was 90% we could expect a video (reason 1, they realeased tfaf as a single =video, reason 2 they are staying in LA post Ellen pre KROQ and BFD which leads me to believe they're using a Hollywood studio since these events were a week apart). Now I am 100% as Albert Hammond Sr tweeted about his son's band yesterday confirming my doubts

Albert Hammond Jr's suit collection is being used in the movie "Stupid Crazy Love", the new one with Steve Carel and Ryan Gosling and the chick from Easy A. Not that we needed another reason to go see it (Ryan Gosling is a HOTTIEEEE) but now we have one!

The Strokes released some new posters from their MSG show on their Global Store. Sadly they're already sold out but here's what they looked like.
I'm sure you're all aware it was Fabrizio Moretti, or as Nikolai likes to call him, "Steady Moretti"'s 31st Birthday yesterday. Everyone's favorite bassist today tweeted this picture
I can only imagine how AWESOME the celebration was.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAB!!!!
Hello readers,
Today is a FABulous day!!! It's Fabrizio Moretti's 31st Birthday!!!
To celebrate the occasion, I made some cupcakes
Shall we look back on our favorite Moretti memories? I think yes!
This picture remains a favorite of mine. Fab used to have a crazy curly afro but in this picture he is very lacking in hair. Recently though he's gone back to a short do. Also he looks crazy. <3
This picture shows the time when Fab broke his hand. Poor guy fell getting out of a van on the Strokes' 2001 Europe tour. Matt Romano had to fill in for him.
HOTTIE!! Fab and Niko at the beach, what hunks.
Fabby's looking awfully short in this picture. Maybe he's bending his knees, or the rest of the band is just freakishly tall (Jules is 6 feet 2 inches). Don't sweat it though Fab, great things come in small packages :)
Ah Yes! Fabrizio looking mighty fine on the Undercover of Darkness video. So classy.
This picture reminds me how much I hate Binki Shapiro, Fab's girlfriend. I will forever loath this picture until it is me in those matching white converse.

WOW! the Strokes on Ellen
Hello readers,
the Strokes performed on the Ellen Degeneres show mere minutes ago, and wow was it ever AWESOME!!! Such a great performance <3
Julian was wearing his signature TV performance leather jacket, the same one he had on at Saturday Night Live, Conan, Jimmy Fallon, Jools Holland and Letterman. Nikolai was looking SO sharp , like classy to the MAX! He also looked somewhat statue like, probably just finished meditating or something. But it's Nikolai, what did you really expect? WHERE ARE YOUR SUSPENDERS ALBERT? Ever since Coachella when Albert debuted his suspenders, they've become a regular thing. Gotta keep it fresh I guess. The playing was still great, suspender-less! Fab was on FIRE! He appeared to be having the time of his life, and playing those drums like he owned them (because, no David Letterman, they're not rentals)! Yay Fabrizio!! Nick sported his leopard print jacket, I'm pretty sure that made an appearance at Coachella. Good on you Nick, you waere looking less hobo like than normal! In fact, they all did. It was a very clean, energetic performance. They all seemed kinda reserved, nothing particularly wild went down. I'm guessing that's on account of it was a daytime TV show.
Here's the video, the bit where Ellen hugs Nick and Jules got cut out though.
